Introducing…..
Team Paradosis!
Paradosis is the Greek word for “surrender”. Each of us shared our favorite Bible stories as we were trying to come up with our team name, and they all had to do with surrender. But… our name gets even better.
Paradosis has the literal meaning of passing off tradition and handing over rituals… which is EXACTLY what we want to do as a team as we surrender our entire lives to this next year on the World Race.
So without further ado..11 questions…6 people..ready…set…

1. Where are you from? Whitehall, WI
2. Favorite color – green and violet
3. Favorite food – ice cream
4. Why are you going on the World Race? To be obedient to God’s calling through serving and sharing His word.
5. Craziest thing you’ve ever done? I’m not a crazy person ??
6. Do you over pack or under pack? over pack
7. What did you major in and why? Mechanical engineering, because math is fun ??
8. Something interesting about you? I like elephants
9. Favorite verse? This is hard, I like Psalms and Philippians, and, “For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.”

I also really do like James 1:19, and it makes me think of “More heart, less attack” by Need to Breathe.
10. Country you’re most excited to minister in? Romania and any African country

4.Why are you going on the World Race? I’m going on the world race because I want to see the God’s Kingdom come here on earth. This trip provided a unique opportunity to experience that in different cultures and various types of ministries.
5.Craziest thing you’ve ever done? Ummmmmm….. eaten snake? I’m not gonna lie – I’ve led a pretty sheltered life – most of my crazy adventures will most likely occur in the next year
6.Do you over pack or under pack? Under pack
7.What did you major in and why? I majored in Christian studies because I knew that I wanted to do ministry with my life. I surrender to that calling when I was 16 years old and my pursuit of that has not ended, it just keeps growing – what I learned in college was a huge part of that growth.
8.Something interesting about you? I’m one of six children.
9.Favorite verse? Psalm 63:3-4
10.Country you’re most excited to minister in? South Africa
11.Pepsi or Coke? Sweet tea? I don’t like carbonated drinks
