Challenges of 2012New Beginnings of 2013…”

As I sit here on New Year’s Eve, sick and having no exciting plan’s to go out, etc. I thought that there’s no better way to bring in the New Year than to write a blog (since I haven’t really written one in about 8 months, but who’s counting?) filling in all my loyal family and friends!

So, let me start-off by sharing briefly some hi-lights of Challenges of 2012

  • Struggled emotionally, personally & spiritually since my return from my WR mission trip (please read previous blogs to understand);
  • Struggled with a break-up within a relationship of about 2 years;
  • Struggled with finding employment & acquired some debt.

Let me finish by sharing briefly some hi-lights of “New Beginnings of 2013

  • Grew deeper in my understanding & intimacy (grace & unconditional love) with GOD;
  • Grew deeper in walking out my Identity In CHRIST and in doing so, GOD has opened up the door for me to lead a study on “Understanding Our Identity In CHRIST (Book study called “Victory Over the Darkness” by Neil T. Anderson).
    I would highly recommend it & would greatly appreciate your prayers
    for this study, etc. Group starts January 9th…so excited to see what
    GOD is going to do!!

  • My twin brother, Ryan, and I are attending a men’s discipleship group together, which has been surreal and so cool!
Possible picture coming soon 🙂

  • GOD provided and blessed me with a new job as a Therapy Technician, working & returning to Mayo Clinic Hospital.

         There’s a cool story behind this, so let me briefly share it with you…so before GOD called me  on the World Race (July 2010), I was working at Mayo Clinic Hospital (MCH) as a Patient Service Representative (PSR) in the Outpatient Department. While working in this current position & department , I applied for a Therapy Technician opening, but didn’t get the position. They chose another candidate. I was so disappointed that I didn’t get the position, but that’s when GOD opened up the door for me to go on the World Race (WR). So, I ended up leaving MCH to serve for 11 months around the world. WAIT FOR IT…IT GETS BETTERUpon my return, I went through all “Out with the Old(Bad)” things, plus some, while transitioning back into the States and real life. Fast forwardin August 2012 a job for a Therapy Technician became open at MCH and I applied for it. Heard nothing for weeks and then received a phone call to come in for a panel interview. Afterwards, I anxiously waited a couple more weeks and then finally got a call sharing with me that I got position! Let me remind you that this is the same position that I applied for back in 2009 while working at Mayo!! The time frame for me to get the Therapy Technician job that I wanted so much was roughly a 4 year wait! That’s because I believe that GOD had certain things HE wanted me to do & to learn in between the long waiting process!

 GOD’s testimony and lessoned learned
                                                                                              is
HIS timing is always perfect
                                                                                             and
                                                  HE is always faithful to HIS children
                                                                                         always!

It’s hard to believe another year (2012) has
come & gone, which I am personally glad because it was a year of
challenges, victories and of personal growth (emotionally, physically
& spiritually). But I wouldn’t trade it for anything because GOD
used all of it to conform me more into the likeness of my Lord &
Savior JESUS CHRIST and to bring me closer in my relationship w/ my
Heavenly FATHER.

Looking forward with you for much anticipation, expectation &
excitement for more of the same and greater things from GOD in 2013!
