Alrighty folks,
I have some news to share with you.
In about 10 months I will be leaving the country. Yup, you heard me right … I’m going on an adventure with a missionary called the World Race.
Who and what is the World Race, you ask? Well, let me fill you in.
The World Race is as an 11 month Christian mission trip to 11 countries around the world. I get to do three of my favorite things: Travel, Help People and Share God’s Love … For almost a whole stinkin’-year!
So after luckily stumbling on the World Race on Facebook one random day, I did a little investigating about this organization and fell in love with what they are about.
They go out and do missionary work in different countries — doing anything and everything from working in orphanages, ministering to women trapped in prostitution as a result of human trafficking, work with the poor and minister to youth — while spreading Christ’s love and sharing His good word.
I applied, had an interview and was accepted! Hooray!
So what does this mean?
Well in August, I will pack my bags and embark on an adventure of a lifetime and do missionary work in Ukraine, Romania, Bulgaria, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Myanmar, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia.
I can’t even put into words how stoked I am!

Why have I decided to join the World Race? Let me break it down for you:
- I have always felt a calling to do a missionary where I would sacrifice my own comfort and be put in situations that are completely out of my element and serve those in need.
- I am not married, have no children, and welp, I am not getting any younger so this is the time to pursue and do something like the World Race. I have nothing holding me back.
- Lately, I’ve been feeling like there is something more I can be doing with my life, something more I can be doing in building a closer relationship with God and something more I could be doing to help others.
- And, umm … who wouldn’t want to travel the world with other young Christian adults, meet new incredible people, and share our faith?
Just a heads up, many of you reading this will soon be getting a little letter from me in your mailboxes.
I need your support in my new adventure! The World Race participants are required to fundraise financial support and I need $18,100. This will cover all of my field expenses for the 11 months of my trip.
So please, please, please pray about helping me out — I’d greatly appreciate it, ya’ll!
And, of course, your prayers — I need a plethora of prayers as I prepare to embark on this mission trip and I’ll need prayers while I’m out and about around the world!
