We just left Hungary and now are in Sofia, Bulgaria for a couple days before we head off to Turkey. I am totally in love with this city and I have only been here one day. There are book stands everywhere, people playing music on the streets, huge pieces of  really good pizza for only $1, really cute old men, and really awesome cobblestone sidewalks. People smile here too.

Today as a team we walked through the city and just asked God what he wanted us to do. We spent time in front of “sex shops” and prayed for the broken lost hearts that buy into it and hurt themselves and their families at home. I love those people and I want them to be free so bad. We prayed for people who were eating out of the garbage. It really brought things into perspective. There was a young guy begging on the street with an open wound in his leg. In some of those situations there was only so much we could do. We didn’t know English. We left it in God’s hands. I really made a point to look them in the eyes to see any small bit of Jesus that I could. Jesus does say that “whatever you do for the least of these you do for me.” We pass so many people without looking at them and we miss so many opportunites to actually meet or see Jesus.

One of my dreams is to sit on the street and hold hands with a begging widow so I can touch Jesus. Looking at it that way makes everyone so beautiful to me. I think God is going to let me do that one day! Keep a watch out for the blog when I can tell you what her hands looked like.

I love you all.
