Michael and I tried to come into the World Race with open hands. Meaning, “God, do with us what you want.” We wanted to be open to him giving and taking away from us at any time. The past three months Mike has been a leader of one of the six small teams of our squad of 42 people.  The leaders of the entire squad are Brian and Stacy Alanzo, and Caitlin Woodward. They are past World Racers that have dedicated the first 4 months of our race to leading the entire squad and empowering the leaders. They are leaving at the end of this month and it was time for them to raise up new squad leaders. They asked Michael and I along with Tamica Sloan to be the new Squad Leaders for the rest of the year.  We felt God was calling us to this even though it seemed crazy to accept. We would no longer be on our small teams.
So here we are. Squad Leaders. Humbly asking God what this means. We will be traveling from team to team and keeping a pulse on the health and growth of the Squad. We will be communicating with World Race staff back home. We will be the people that the small team leaders come to. This will be an entirely different race than what we expected. Much of our ministry is to the people on the Squad. The best way I can describe it would be like a pastor. He is dedicated to the church and empowering the people in the church to go out and minister outside of the church. We still will be able to spend time doing ministry with the teams. I don’t believe God wants me to miss out on holding the African Orphans. =) =)
Please be praying for us. This is really new for us. It’s really fun also. We get to be really creative. I love everyone on the Squad so much, and I have a major passion for keeping the devil and his sneaky division schemes out of the church body.

Squad Leader, Caitlin Woodward, spent a lot of time on these following three videos. Every person on the squad has a chance to share a few words throughout the three videos.
I would like to present to you the “K Squad”. These people make up our World Race Ministry this year. You will quickly see why we love them so much and why they are so dear to our hearts and that they are so freaking amazing.
