Here are some interesting foods that I have eaten this month:
Agouti- it is technically a rodent though it hops and burrows. Before it’s prepared it looks something like this:

After it’s made delicious, it looks like this on my plate:
Grubs – that’s right, insects, fried on a stick:
We also got to have some awesome fruits!
It’s called Abi (we think) and it makes your lips very very sticky if you aren’t careful; which I wasn’t.

This is cacao – what chocolate is made from. You can eat the white stuff off of the bean. It tastes like a jolly rancher.
Here I am eating Sapote! It tastes like cantelope but is stringy like a pumpkin. It was awesome, as long as you get one without worms in it 🙂 details

Last but not least they call this one guava. I think it was my favorite. You eat the white part, not the green seed. It does not have a lot of flavor but it is very refreshing!
Aside from these foods we ate mostly white rice and chicken; even for breakfast!
