Well, today marks a full month of officially being accepted to go on the World Race! And WOW, what an incredible few weeks it’s been. I have been feeling all different kinds of emotions – literally every one, you name it. But lately I’ve been fearful, an emotion that seems to be beyond the rest. Being fearful of this journey, the preparation and stepping outside of my comfort zone – every day for 360 days. But I know the Lord has greater things in store. Having this type of emotion lurking in the back of my mind, has allowed me to open my heart to certain truths that have began to overcome my fear. By His faithfulness, He is taking my fear and turning it into hopeful restoration for this journey. I have come to fully grasp that the ultimate purpose of my life is to be a voice and make a difference. For this life is not about me, but what the Lord can do through me. And for that I am thankful, because the one who calls us is faithful and He will do it. In my heart, I know I’m ready. Ready for the lessons, growth and relationships that I will gain. But most importantly, I’m ready to spread the message of the gospel. Reaching those who are broken, healed, the unseen, the popular, those who have never heard the name of Jesus or those who have the most incredible relationship with our Father. I’m ready and I’m expectant because of Ephesians 3:20.
“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.”
Aside from my own fear, the Lord is so good. These past couple of weeks, while resting in the Lord’s promises – He has provided me with much needed truths that have been seeking my heart while preparing for what’s to come. So here it is, my heart laid out for you!
James 3:31- “The one who comes from above is above all; the one who is from the earth belongs to the earth, and speaks as one from the earth. The one who comes from heaven is above all.”
How refreshing is that? That the one who knows your heart and even all of the messy parts that come with it – is above all, still loving. He is carving a perfect plan for our lives. Molding and shaping us into the people we were created to be, to best spread His message to the world. He is guiding each of us, every step of the way, leading us towards grander things. And that is how I know this world race route and journey is special and necessary. Because he has already planned out the lives and souls that will be renewed and restored new, through Him. I am leaving the preparation and this adventure in the hands that were wounded for me. The hands that would over and over again be wounded for me and you, because that is how much he cherishes His children. So why be fearful? When we have a Father who knows everything about us. He knows our desires, our purpose, our past and yet He’s still leading us, forgiving us and loving us. Know today that each one of us will forever be a child of God. He will never leave us nor forsake us – because we are His forever. Forever wrapped in His unending grace and love. He is walking right beside us, holding our hand every step of the way. There’s no need to be afraid anymore, because His love for us casts out all fear. Our Father wants and knows what’s best for us. So today and every day, let’s let Him lead us there. Let’s keep our eyes on the one thing that truly matters – the message.
