What is the one thing that you will search the universe for?
I’ve spent most of my life searching for
• Good Friends.
• A man that finds me ‘worthy’ enough to give me a ring.
• Jobs that will support me.
• Acceptance.
• A close knit family of my own.
• Some way that I can make a difference in people’s lives.
• Talents that can actually be used for something.
• A “comfortable” life.
It wasn’t until I got to the point of searching for the creator of the universe above all of these other things that life started to make sense. Things started to fall in to place. Sure, I’m still single. I gave up a really good job. I left my friends, family, and my “comfortable life” at home for a year- possibly for much longer. But, when you know that you’re doing exactly what God has been calling you to do- life is so much better than searching endlessly for things on your own.
God is never a second late. He has a plan for you that is unlike anyone else’s. Have faith, close your eyes, and jump all in. Trust that He has the perfect story for you. It won’t always be easy. It won’t always be fun. It may not always be the things you thought you needed or wanted for yourself. You may have to give up and leave behind things that you’ve spent your whole life searching for. But, in the end, God will never disappoint.
I’ll search the universe | for opportunities to be the example |and show the love| of Christ to those who are searching endlessly for something of worth and value.
