First blog here we go! This is very much so just a long update on my constantly changing plans!
First off I had announced in November my plan to go off to Thailand and Cambodia in summer, while I was very excited to go, practically it made more sense to go to Colombia for only one month. With the continual border closure between the US and Canada it’s making this trip pretty well impossible for this year which is very saddening but I was given the option to defer my mission to next summer! Very excited to go yet again!! Because it is so far in advance I don’t know where i’m going yet! But I will definitely keep you guys updated when I do know!
Enough of that sad news, let’s kick off some exciting news! In January I was accepted to Liberty University!! I am now officially committed to LU for the Fall!! Which means as long as my visa checks out I will be moving to Lynchburg, Virginia to study respiratory therapy!! So ecstatic to move to the states in the fall!
If you were just wanting a quick update on my life there it is! I’ll be sharing more of my story and faith in these decisions in the paragraph below!
Covid was very difficult, it ruined graduation and about a million of my plans to go overseas and do mission work and it led me to stay here for another year with no end in sight. Covid constantly won over me; and every loss took a piece out of me. This year has without a doubt been one of the hardest I’ve faced, it’s been terrible and heartbreaking but it’s also been refining; coming to terms with God’s true calling for my life was like a 100 step process. Through the constant cancellations and restrictions He uncovered more of his plans for my life and completely did a 360 in my heart. Ask anyone I never wanted to go back to school; university was the last option for me, but now I couldn’t be more excited to go back to school for a profession that sounds oh so perfect and amazing. Liberty is an absolute dream! Liberty is a private Christian college; their Christ centered community is unreal! From the little bit that I’ve experienced it feels like home. God really opened up a door I never thought was possible!
