I love how God will take our plans, and change them; morph them until they are so much more then we could have imagined.

last night the girls on my team held a ‘girls night’ for the women of Seeta. every day we go out and pray over family after family, and then come home and play with unnumbered children, and every day it strikes me how many girls are in this town, how much of an opportunity we have here to pour into them, encourage them, and let them see how much the Father loves them. Because of this my team and I decided to set an evening aside and just love on the women and girls in our village and church.

with a budget of about 10$ my team and I bought a couple supplies at the near by store, and began preparing for the twenty or so girls we expected to show up. By four thirty, half an hour past the decided on time there were only about 6 little girls. Knowing that it is not the amount of people that matters as much as us being able to pour into the ones that do show up, we played with, and loved on the few girls that were there. Throwing armfuls of balloons into the small group of girls, they began to go crazy! Nothing could be more fun then batting a balloon around the church, and chasing it down when it escapes your reach. After all the balloons popped we headed out to the nearby field and started playing red rover. Its amazing how much joy you can get from throwing all your cares out the window, and just having fun! the longer we played the more girls showed up, until we had nearly twenty girls holding hands, laughing, and just enjoying each other.

From there we decide to begin some of the plans that we had made before. everyone sat down, and Lindsey began to explain to the Girls how they are all royalty because they are the daughters of the king, and what that means. As Lindsey was talking the older women began to show up. First just a few, but then more and more. Entire families started walking toward the church, mother, and all her daughters.

We handed out paper crowns, and had the girls decorate them and write their names on them, signifying that they are all Princesses. we tied bright purple ribbons around the older women's wrists reminding them of their royalty, and have a place in the kingdom.

We then started the movie Tangled on Lindsey’s computer, and Cassidy and I began to paint everyones nails. While Cassidy was surrounded by over 20 little girls all yelling and trying to shove their hands in her line of sight I had the blessing to paint the older women's nails. While carefully painting their nails I prayed over every single woman, and then got to ask them about their family, their jobs, and their lives.

By dusk there were anywhere form 50 to 60 people at our girls night. More then three times the amount we had expected. Lindsey got to stand up and give her message for a second time, this time with a translator and more of an audience then we ever could have hoped for. While Lindsey was speaking I felt called to give my testimony. During my testimony I was on the verge of tears because I cared for all the woman who were there, so much. After that we had worship, and prayed over anyone who was sick, discouraged, or just needed prayer. We had all the younger girls join us in praying, and during one of our prayers I snuck opened my eyes, and was blown away by the passion and intensity that the children here pray with.

God took our girls night, took our balloons, nail polish, and crafts, he took our games and our movies, and made it into something more then any of us could have ever hoped for. Nights like last night remind me why I am here, why the Lord called me across the world. I am here to show the amazing women of Seeta that they are important, that they are royalty, that they are worth my time, but most importantly that they are so so loved.
