Dear End of World Race Me,
Hey, Dee! How’s it going? Today is your last day in Puerto Galera, Philippines. You have month 4 debrief in Manila tomorrow and then you head to Thailand on Sunday. I’m not gonna lie, your kind of nervous about debrief this time, because there is a real possibility of team changes and you’re not really sure how you feel about that. (Side note: team changes did happen and you love your new team, and you’re okay with it all now). Just know this, God has a plan and however it plays out as far as teams go it is for his glory. This leads me into what I wanted to tell you about life after the race. Live it, don’t let life just pass you by. God has a plan and don’t ever doubt it. These past four months have been incredible. You are not the same person who left La Grande in January, and you (month 4 you) are not gonna be the same person who you are now when you get home in November. Embrace the growth and Change. NEVER FORGET what the race is teaching you. This month you finally realized not just logically but with your ole heart just what a Good Good Father God is and it’s a wonderful feeling. He loves you so much. Whenever you look up at the sky at night and see the stars, remember that. You never need to doubt that he loves you, no matter what. Dee, 4 months have flown by, and I know that the next 7 are gonna fly by too. When you look back on the race in a year, five years, ten years, or whenever I hope you don’t just remember places but people, but at the same time I hope you don’t just remember people but the places. And I pray you don’t just remember the places and the people but what God taught you along the way. You’ve lived, you’ve laughed, you’ve cried, had awesome food and some not awesome food. You’ve sweated and drank more water then you ever thought you would. Made friends, made family. But most importantly you not only met God on the race, but He met you and brought you closer to him. And you got to share him with other this year.
-Love Month 4…Dee Dee…..
