At TC back in October we talked some about what words define our trip, or come to mind about our trip for us. What word do we feel like God is using to describe this journey that we’re about to take? For me that word is UNDEFINED. No I don’t mean that I can’t find a word, but the word itself is undefined.

All of our lives we’re defined by who we are, by our pasts, by our likes or dislikes, by who we hang out with or don’t hang out with, our friends and families. But from the very beginning of this journey for me it’s been about the Undefined.

What I’m saying by this is that I’m not letting my past define who I am on this trip. Yes, it plays a part, and it is what made me who I am, but it doesn’t have to be the focus, my trip is not defined or based off of what occurred or happened it my past.

I’m going into this trip, this journey with no expectations defined either. I feel as if God has no limits, and if I set expectations that I’m putting Him into a box. Okay, so that may not be totally the truth, I’m going in with one expectation, that God will most likely exceed all expectations I could ever consider possibly conceive of.

I also feel like going in with expectations puts pressure on me to achieve those expectations, but also limit me to feel like once they’ve been met then I’ve accomplished all that I need to. Going in Undefined with no expectations, no limits, no fears that I may or may-not make those expectations allows me to go in free with an open mind to allow God to do His work through me, rather than me try to do His work without Him being the one to lead. (Hope that makes sense to ya’ll….it does in my mind).

So what one word defines this trip for me…. it’s being UNDEFINED.

“Great is our Lord, and abundant in power; his understanding is beyond measure.”     (Psalm 147:5 ESV)

Update:

With what donation’s I know are coming in I still need about $1800 before I launch in January. I know God can provide he already has in so many ways that I can’t even explain. THANK YOU to all who have donated so far, and to those who have been keeping me in prayer and given me encouragement along the way, you have no idea how much that means to me.

Prayer Requests:

  • That all my squad members are able to get the $10000 they need in order to launch in January.
  • For my sister Jo’s health.
  • That all of my squad members are able to get their Mozambique Visa’s approved with no problem.
