“I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.”–Jesus (John 14:18)

God has done SO much in Nicaragua. This month my team was able to be a part of Unsung Heroes–going into an area with no ministry host and meeting people to potentially partner with AIM in the future. We were able to see God lead in amazing ways. There are more stories to share than I can put into words.

One of my favorite days was with the dancing group, El Evangelico Cambio. We met them basically at the beginning of our month and they invited us to come along to their evangelistic event in Messiah. We were able to watch their performances and saw as they invited people into Christ’s family. It was a great honor to be there, while we were able to pray for new believers and we were able to stand alongside the group for support and prayer.

So, later in the month, when we were hosting a fun event in the park, we invited their group to come with us. We were in prayer for many days about the impact we would yield at the park. We started out small, but when we began to dance, I felt the Spirit of God glow brighter and brighter in the middle of the city. Different people came and talked with us. A few curious students came and danced with us to a few songs.

We had a really good time and we even ran into a lady that we had seen in church the Sunday prior. She was deemed crazy, and honestly, she was a little. But as she shared with me in way too fast Spanish, I could see her as a precious daugnter of God. I didn’t feel threatened by her as she talked. I saw pain behind her eyes. She was just a little girl in her mind. She had been prostituted at a young age and discarded when she was no longer desirable by men. She said all sorts of things horrible in Spanish and she (or the demon inside) mocked me (+ God) as I prayed over her, but I kept on. God gave me a lot of peace in that moment. He wanted her to know His love. Her face may have been spewing forth obsenities, but her eyes still searched inside of mine for the truth. She may not have accepted the prayer, but she freely accepted hugs from me. She wasn’t an outcast in God’s family. She was loved and I wanted to show her so much. But, alas, God is the bringer of truth. He knows what He is doing. He alone is the comforter and the Truth and the Lover of her soul that will never leave. God will remain in Rivas long after we are gone.

I am content with this month. I am only hoping that listening to God so intently and intensely doesn’t fade away if we change the format of our ministry. I am hoping to carry God’s voice in my heart everywhere else that I go. Yes, the program World Race may be winding down, but God is only just beginning the work He is doing in me. I am looking forward to what is next.

Thank you for reading. I am still fundraising $1726 to go! So,if you feel led, please donate. God is working so much out here. In no way is that possible without you guys.

Please be in prayer for the squad to finish strong. We are moving into the last 3 months of the journey and much adventure lies ahead. Please lift us up regarding traveling mercies, health, relationship development, determination, future doors opening after the Race, intentionality with time/people…etc.

Please also keep the Schneider/Goodenberger and the Meltz families in your prayers
