Hello everyone!

After some time being at home, I have grieved the loss of things. I have left my old squad, my old route and have moved back in with my parents. Which is a little awkard at 27, but whatever. I thank my father for being the man of God he is. I have let go of the Race; I have let go of the Race as validation for the last lost decade of my life; I have let go of the Race as being the only avenue for which I strive to know God.

I have surrendered the World Race to God, and He has given it back to me. I finally have what I didn’t have the last few times around: I have peace. My parents have both now looked me in the eye and have said that this is right. That they feel in their hearts that I was unprepared before and that they have been waiting for God to move in His timing before they would give their blessing. Wow! I had no idea.

I now understand that I needed to go to training camp. I needed to move back to my parents’ house and to break off from the life that I was living. Not that it was bad, but God wanted me here. He wanted me in this mindset, in this “stuck” place to watch Him do what He alone could accomplish. So, now I have TONS of peace. Like, I know it is still hard work fundraising and (groan) physically getting in shape to go. But! Now I have a perplexingly perfect peace over my life. God is setting the stage to work in the World to further His kingdom. In the meantime, I will be looking for ways to serve God wherever I am. I just want to be a good steward of what He has laid before me in this season. I also want to honor the people that have took time and sacrificed to get me where I am today. I know that God is working everything together for good, and I cannot wait to see what He is up to next.

My new launch date is in January 2015 (Honestly, guys, I am GOING this time!!). I will be in a special route full of International Racers. We are ministering in Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, China, Swaziland, Lesotho, South Africa, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Mexico and the USA.
