Hello Readers, Stumble-uponers, Friends, Friends that I have yet to meet!

Life has changed since my last blog.

Ahem

I am now on the July 2014 Route 2 trip! Yay! It is perhaps later than I wanted to go, but not any later than I should be going.

I am thankful and kind of relieved to be going later. First, I have more time to get to know my teammates. Secondly, more time for preparation including research and fundraising. Thirdly, I have had an amazing opportunity to join a discipleship group with my church.

It is a lot of work, and excitement can kind of lose its luster, but I need to remember why I am going. God is paving the way for us! He is simultaneously building up our hearts and faith. And He is working on people’s strongholds. He is preparing both sides of the Race to have a life-sparking reactions to His love.

This verse keeps coming to my heart, and it is interesting, because I found it the other day when I was reading the NT and Jesus was also struck by the SAME VERSE. !! Cool, huh?

“He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all those who mourn, to console those who mourn in Aion, to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for heaviness;that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified.” –Isaish 61:1-3
