As the title indicates this post is about to be as straightforward as we can get. Never one to mince words I have a piece to say and well, here we go. TALKING ABOUT FUNDRAISING MAKES ME UNCOMFORTABLE BUT I AM BITING THE METAPHORICAL BULLET AND TAKING THE PROVERBIAL PLUNGE, in addition to that, I’m also done yelling.

To do this amazing grace adventure I need help.

Specifically, I need YOUR help. I personally cannot go to Albania alone, or Zambia, or Cambodia. I need you to come with me. So if you’re anything like or anything not like me you aren’t one to blindly donate. I know how life goes, pizza is expensive and gas prices keep going up! And throwing money to a cause you know little about isn’t something you are used to doing. I understand completely. So let’s change that! Instead of vaguely asking for you to open your wallet, or trying manipulate into giving me funds I want to break it down in a practical way. Who doesn’t love bullet points in fun colors?!

1).16,961 dollars for the whole year broken down means living off of $46.47 a day. The average American lives off of approx. 94 dollars a day.

2). 94 dollars times 365 equals 34,310. So you, the average American and/or Canadian, funding your own life is twice what I, a living-out-of-a-pack, nomad-for-Jesus, racer  needs to live on for a year.

3). So everyday for 46.47, I will either be on long bus rides from Zambia to Zimbabwe, teaching english, praying over the cities, working with sex trafficking organizations, eating, sleeping, bonding with my team, and praising Jesus.

4).16,961 broken down means that it will go to travel expenses, food, lodging when needed, and other barest of bare essentials.

5). Here’s three easy ways to go on the race with me:

Pray!

Prayer is the most important thing you can partner with me in.

Funds!

If the Lord is leading you to help me financially with this stage of my life, then praise the Lord! Whatever you feel led to give will be greatly appreciated, whether it’s 5 dollars or 5,000,  anything is a blessing! A fun way if you’re not sure how much to donate would be to donate 46.47 which means that you personally have made it possible for me to be on the race for one day!

Encouragement!

This great big Journey that God has called me to is great. And big. Sometimes it’s scary, often it’s overwhelming. I will eat up any and all advice you have for any part of this. If you have any resources, advice, know a guy who can, a bible verse, or anything at all it would be such an encouragement!

6.) How to: an easy way to donate is simply to hit the support me button at the top of my blog where you can give with a debit or credit card. Or you can write a check, OR you can give directly to me and I can put it in my account for you! You can make a

one time gift

or

monthly gift

So there you have it. Thank you for sticking with me through this and reading up to this point. Please stay tuned for more info about fundraising, support, and how you enter into this with me!
