Exactly a month from today I leave everything I’ve ever seen as familiar, including but not limited to , this time zone and my mom. Boarding a plane destined to Cambodia. Only thirty days friends, and while usually I scorn everything that could be sappy and emotional, Instead hide it with sarcasm and laughter while simultaneously crying on the inside cause golly that sentiment gets ya right there! So now I have started the month of goodbyes before I start the year of hellos.
With that being said, I have some details of what I am going to be doing in the thirty days after these next thirty days!
My team and I will be landing in the little village of Phnom Penh, Where we will be working with a brand new Ministry.
Their vision is to bring hope to the country of Cambodia and equip the youth to be the next Christ infused leaders of Cambodia. The Ministry host’s passion for discipleship is so encouraging to read about and I cannot wait to meet them in person! Approximately 95% of Cambodia is Buddhist. My team will be working with Adore Mission during the week, teaching English in a school and as well as getting to lead worship and prayer with the kids, Going through the villages to meet and share the gospel while building relationships with the people. On Sundays we will be teaching Sunday School and possibly teaching an evening English class for the adults in the village. My extroverted side is pumped out of my mind that I get to go up to perfect strangers and attempt to be best friends.
Since this is a new Ministry, there have not been a lot of Worldracers come through it to the best of my knowledge, so please pray for my team that we will leave an impression on the ministry and the village that points consistently to Christ, and loves others with abandon.
