My Other Families

I am super blessed to have been a part of The Cross organization the past 3 years. These people have taught me that is is okay to be vulnerable and how God's love is truly portrayed in everyday life. We go on mission trips for fall break in Pineville, KY and spring break in Moultrie, GA. All these trips have shaped my faith and the person I am today and it's awesome.

My other family is my sorority, Adpi. I know I know typical southern college girl answer and trust me I am not the girliest of girls hence why I am about to backpack around the world for 11 months. This group of girls have showed me the importance of being genuine and have constantly challenged me to use my strengths in every aspect of life. I can't wait to share what I have learned on the race with these dudes!
Why the World Race?

I was staring at this sunset about 5 years ago in South Africa before my senior year of high school. Have you ever had that moment in time where everything just seemed right? This photograph was my moment when I realized how much I love people, all colors and all shapes and sizes. South Africa was my first mission trip and that is the very first time I actually experienced God's love. God's love to me is experienced through actions, which is why I am so ready to drop everything and travel to 11 different countries to show them God's love in person! I.am.so.flippin.pumped.

WAHOOOOO! Welcome to the Corinth Canal in the city of Corinth, Greece! Sound familiar? This city is where Paul built the first church, started mission, and where he wrote the book of 1 and 2 Corinthians. Needless to say it was surreal standing there. This jump looks a lot like the 11 month journey I am about to take because I have no control and have to rely 100% on faith. I can't wait to walk in Paul's footsteps and live out 1 Corinthians 13:4-8.
love.never.fails.
Can't wait to share this crazy journey with all of you! Get ready to have your socks rocked off.
Hakuna Matata,
DeAnna
