Meeting 49 complete strangers can be a daunting experience for most and I was terrified I would having nothing in common with these people I would be traveling with, but it turns out all those strangers were just like me. Tarzan said it best that is why I had to include this stellar music video and I have a new found love for cartoons, which you will find out in my next blog!
Training camp taught me that I like living naked. Now I know how Adam and Eve felt running around the Garden of Eden… FREE!
Living Naked=Being Vulnerable
(clarification for those that thought I joined a nudist colony)
I have never met a group of people that was so broken and willing to strip down all their layers just so we were able to meet the real them. By the third night we knew everything about each other. It was funny to me that none of us knew each other by our last names, but by each other’s hearts.
Photo cred to my teammate Monte Carlo!
At night we would all get naked around the bonfire and it.was.awesome! The fire acted as God with its warmth and light it provided in the darkness and coldness of the outside. As the testimonies poured out of my team for hours the fire never.quit.burning. The light of the fire was the center of our circle of brokenness as we were all sharing our lives. It was hard for everyone to be that vulnerable in front of that many people, but I noticed that when people were pouring their guts out they would never break eye contact with the fire. I learned that week that even though the A squad is completely broken we all have one thing in common: our eyes are fixed on God. Man, God is so good.
Meet my new family!

I love these people with my whole heart because I know all their hearts.
Live Naked,
Eve
