Let me paint you a picture. I find myself standing at the edge of a large mountain cliff. Beneath, surrounds me by a flood of waters. But, there in the waters, is Jesus himself looking up at me with his hands reaching for me and asking, ‘Will you Jump?’

TRUST – It’s more than just a five letter word, but rather a word that holds a lot of importance in my relationship with Jesus Christ. I’m tired of allowing human failings (including my own) rob me of my trust and comfort of God’s dependability. So, here I stand at the edge of the cliff with a choice. Am I ready to jump in and radically trust in full obedience to Christ believing wholeheartedly that God will catch me or am I going to hesitantly turn around and begin to walk down the mountain?

There is no turning back now; I’m ready and willing to jump. It’s time for me to have a total confidence in my Creator in which I base all my decisions and actions upon. It’s time to truly trust and acknowledge God and my need for Him in every situation before taking action. It’s time for me to let go of my self- reliant trust that has come from acting without acknowledging God.

I’m going to TRUST in the Lord with all my heart and submit to Him. I can’t walk this journey alone, as my knowledge cannot support the weight of the challenges and decisions in my own life. Thankfully, when I put my full trust and obedience in Him, I am supported by God’s firm foundation. Walking in this radical trust won’t always be easy, but I can guarantee it will be totally WORTH IT!

God, I don’t want to live on my own any longer. I want to TRUST you. When I don’t understand why, I’ll TRUST you. When I don’t know what to do, I’ll TRUST you. With Your help, I’ll do my part, and when I’m done, I’ll TRUST you to do the rest.

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.” –Proverbs 3:5-6

Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders
Let me walk upon the waters
Wherever You would call me
Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander
And my faith will be made stronger
In the presence of my Savior
