Is it really possible that it’s already the day before training camp?  Where have the last eight months gone?  In just over twelve (short) hours, I will be boarding a plane to Georgia for training camp where I will get to meet my squad mates for the first time face to face.

Excitement, nervousness, fear, anxiousness … emotions of all kinds have crossed my path recently.  BUT, through the laughter, through the tears and through the wide-array of emotions, I’m CONFIDENT in the fact that God has led me to the World Race, as He continues to confirm time and time again. The preparation has been building, not without challenges, but now it’s time to take the next step … Training Camp.

You may not fully realize the impact you have, but your willingness to be a part of the journey with me through your prayers and support is greatly appreciated.  So can I ask you a favor?

Will you please pray for me and my squad mates in any ways that God lays on your heart?  Here are some starting points:

  • PEACE: For a peace that surpasses all understanding, in both the remaining time I have prior to training camp, but also throughout the week of training camp.  This journey can definitely feel very overwhelming at times.
  • SAFETY: Traveling safety (whether flying or driving) to/from the training camp location.  Also, physical safety throughout the week.
  • UNITY & RELATIONSHIPS: Pray that my squad and I would learn to love each other as Christ loves us.  Pray as we meet for the first time face to face and begin the process of building friendships and trust amongst each other.
  • STRENGTH: Pray that we rely on God’s strength like no other. We are going to fail, make mistakes and have difficult moments, and it’s only going to be by God’s strength that we are going to come out on the other side victoriously.
  • HEALING and OPENNESS: Pray that I would not fight the emotional healing that God has in store for me, through the messiness of my life.  Pray that I would be completely real and vulnerable when needed and not fight the battle within that tends to prevent me from sharing.  Pray for internal walls to be broken down and letting go of the things that holds us back in our relationship with Christ.  May we find true freedom in Christ this week.
  • PRAY AGAINST THE ENEMY: Spiritual attacks have been experienced in various situations amongst my squad as we’ve prepared for this next step of the journey together.  The enemy is against what we are embarking upon and doesn’t want us to experience training camp; however, we cannot let Him win this battle.

Thank You!

And this is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him. -1 John 5:14-15
