THE WORLD RACE. How do I even begin to sum up one of the most challenging, yet one of the most incredible years of my life? These past eleven months has been life-changing. But please, hear me out … it has NOT been life changing because of the things that I have seen, done or the adventures that I have experienced. These past eleven months have been life-changing because I opened my heart to let God in and take full control. The Potter has taken me, the clay and molded me, prodded me, and shaped me to blossom into the person that He originally created me to be. Thank you friends and family for all your support financially and spiritually over the past year–I couldn’t have done it without you!

Everyday Ministry
This season of life known as the World Race has come to a close, but that does not mean ministry ends. As I hunger more and more for the love of my Creator and thirst for the spiritual nourishment of His Spirit, I become propelled into service with an exuberant amount of outpouring joy. The choice then comes down to me with how I am going to respond with the joy and love that my Heavenly Father has given.

We have all designed by God for daily ministry no matter where we are living. Everyday ministry needs to include close communion with God that empowers us, equips us and changes our life’s perspective for the day. For me personally, that communion starts at the beginning of each day.

Loving God wholeheartedly creates opportunities to live a purposeful life with everyday being a new day to encourage and serve the people God has placed around us. God places us in circumstances daily to encourage ministry, but ultimately the choice comes down to you and I. Are our eyes opened to see those everyday ministry opportunities or, are we too focused on ourselves which puts blinders on and limits us from seeing those around us who are hurting and may need help.

We might be asked to give more than what we THINK we have, or to serve in greater capacities then what we FEEL equipped for. But, when we stay focused on keeping Jesus at the core of everything we do and act of obedience to where the Holy Spirit leads us, we can be confident that we are right where God wants us and He will adequately equip us and provide us with the words to speak. Let our spiritual integrity lead us as we adapt and strive to do our best putting others first and giving of ourselves.

For it is not you who speak but it is the Spirit of the Father who speaks in you.” –Matthew 10:20

Are you willing to answer God’s calling in everyday ministry with the hope that love and compassion will abound and become the guiding light in this world? Will you take the time to listen and commune with God daily? Every day is an opportunity to do whatever, whenever, wherever and for whomever the Lord leads us to. Being back in America for me is no excuse and I AM READY! Will you join me everyday ministry by opening your heart, listening to Him and following His leading no matter what the cost?

Next Steps
It is hard to believe that I have been back in America for three weeks already. Re-entry has had its challenges, but I am thankful for a faithful God who extends grace, loves me and helps me to extend grace to those around me. So now you might be asking, what is next? Some have already heard, but for those of you who have not, God has blessed with me an incredible opportunity of being able to work for Compassion International in Colorado Springs, CO. As I look back throughout the interview process which originally began in February 2014, I am constantly reminded of how God was orchestrating the whole process to make a dream for me come true. For many years, God has given me a passion for the poor and vulnerable children around the world, and now I get to pursue these passions by using my skills in an organization that focuses on ‘Releasing children from poverty in Jesus’ name.’
