A child so unloved
Frozen by fear
Unable to show much emotion
But on the verge of tears
There are wounds that go beyond
The markings on her arms, legs and face
She does not know how to respond
Or let others know about her case
She was often traded
Stood out on the streets or was bought
By men she did not know
They used her and abused her a lot
They wouldn’t let her go for hours
But did as she was told
In secret and behind closed doors
She promised not to tell
A life so full of suffering
Filled with the lifestyle of an adult
She was just a victim
Of something not her fault
A life that’s really dead in life
Scars that may never heal
A heart that is numb with pain
With the trauma of this ordeal
Only a child
Her purity was lost
She was robbed
Something precious was stolen from within
We hope one day it happens
When someone can come to her rescue
To take her some place safe
To heal her battle wounds and scars
Violated by a crime
Her innocence was stolen
Suffocated in her shame
If you walk in her shoes

She’s not the only one you see. Many others have walked and are walking in her shoes. They need our help! Will you join me in praying for these women and children who are victims of sexual exploitation? This month, my team and I have had the incredible opportunity of interacting with some of these beautiful daughters of our Heavenly Father. These women are being rescued, healing is happening and they are finding freedom in Christ from their past.
