All I have to say to that command is: HERE I AM, HERE I STAND, I AM READY!
I cannot believe the time to launch is here already. It seems just like yesterday that God lead me to fill out the application and now in 3 days I will be reunited with my squad and starting this 11 month journey in Guatemala. It is a surreal feeling to say the least.
I am ready to be God’s hands and feet. I am ready to live a life of complete faith. I am ready to live in a healthy community with amazing people that all have the same goal as me: to release God’s Kingdom into the Nations. I am ready to be stretched in ways that I never thought were possible. Of course I have no idea what is going to happen but one thing I am sure of is that God is going to ROCK THE NATIONS in these 11 months.
The Holy Spirit has been teaching me so much these past two months about believing in things unseen, about being content with what I have, about going to God first in any situation, and the list continues. The one attribute that I have aquired on this journey towards launch is DIVINE PATIENCE. And by that I mean coming to the realization that God’s timing is perfect in all situations and it is by faith that we wait for Him to act on our behalf because God knows our needs (more so than we do). This is also where TRUST sets in because you can’t rely on something you don’t trust, but I do trust that God’s plan for me is perfect. I trust God to lead me and my squad on this unconventional journey around the world to serve “the least of these,” bring the Kingdom, and above all LOVE radically.
