This is crazy!!! I only have 36 give or take until I leave Atlanta and head to Serbia!!! That is one sentence I never thought that I would be saying. My life has been flipped upside down over the past few months and now its about to happen all over again. Am I excited? to say that I am is an understatement. Am I nervous? again, to say that I am is an understatement. Having never been out of the country nor on a mission trip before this will be my first time for many things. But thats okay guys!!!! Because God’s got this!! more importantly, God’s got me….right where he wants me.
I would love to just give a huge shout out to everyone in my life who has made this whole thing possible. I couldn’t have done it without you doing what God called you to do in supporting me! This has been the time of my life and I haven’t even left the states yet.
So today I said my goodbyes to my parents. It was bitter sweet because I know that when I come back i’ll have so many “life” stories to tell them. But before I go into too much about my day. GOD IS SOOOOO GOOD!!! He has made this all possible. The fact that close to 175 of us between the age of 21-35 are leaving tomorrow, all going to different countries, all in the name of Jesus because it’s what He has called us to do. We all had/have to raise around the $18,000 mark and in order to be here we had to already be at the $10,000 mark. Close to 200 of us!!!!! If that don’t light your fire then your wood’s wet my friend.
I am so ready to get this show on the road and ready to fly out. At the same time I don’t want to wish my days away because i’ll be home before you know it. I have been double and triple checking everything that I have packed to make sure that I have everything I need and yet not more than I can carry. Guy’s! That’s stressful because i’m leaving for a year!! But challenge accepted.
Let’s give you another cool God story before I leave. So I have decided that Facebook will be one of my ministry platforms through this next year and beyond. That being said I only had 822 friends and I knew God wanted me to share with more people. So I began to add random people from my suggestion list even if I didn’t know them or didn’t ever talk to them. That can be scary by itself! Stranger Danger! I get it, but everybody needs Jesus. Not just the people who support you and or know you personally. Anyways I started with 822 at roughly 4:30 yesterday evening and now I’m at over 1,600 friends!! I’ve doubled in a day! So if you would, add me on Facebook if you haven’t already. Share my blog posts. Share God’s stories that are happening. It doesn’t matter who you are. Share with everyone because everyone needs it.
