My name is David Caldwell. I am an aspiring writer, poet and mystic. In this current stage of my life, I’m still trying to figure out my role in Gods grand plan.

I pray one day I can embody the spirit of one of my favorite quotes. Bruce Lee once said, “Do not pray for an easy life, pray for the strength to endure a difficult one.”

All human beings have difficult lives. To be human is to experience pain, sufferings and trails. Its an inevitability, a cup in which we must all drink. Yet there’s a difference between the strong and the weak.

Strength does not come from pride and it does not come from wealth. Nor does strength come from false humility. The poor are not elevated over the strong due to their position. Nor are the strong elevated over the weak for their strength.

True strength comes when a man can humble himself before the God of the universe. For when a man humbles himself before the Lord of eternity, he thus loses himself. When we lose the ego, we open ourselves up to the grand spectacle of creation. From this letting go comes strength in its purest form.

In my own life I seek such a balance. As do we all.
