Hey Everyone!
Fun facts about Dave:
Fact # 1: I actually preferred to be called David, however, over the years my closest friends have somehow managed to change my name to Dave (usually said in a sarcastic tone) so if you must, Dave is fine.
Fact # 2: I’m 26 years old but suffer from old man syndrome (at least this is what I tell everyone at work, I work with a lot of teenagers). Usually after a cup of coffee I revert back to being 26, but the coffees pretty key.
Fact # 3: I work for Chick-fil-A and have eaten Chick-fil-A for at least 1 meal a day for the past six years. My squad should be warned, I could go through some pretty serious withdraw the first month.
Fact # 4: I have wanted to do a trip like the WR since the age of 12. I read a book called Four Souls (which is about 4 guys taking a year to travel around the world and work with the local church) and have dreamed about doing a similar trip since then.
Fact # 5: I’m crazy nervous about this trip! I love travel and missions but I’m also a textbook over planner so doing something like Unscripted is going to be incredibly stretching!
Fact #6: I’m an INFJ for Meyers Briggs and either a 5 or 4 on the enneagram (still trying to figure it out).
Fact #7: My biggest expectation for this trip is learning to rely on God’s voice in the day to day. If nothing else, I want to live a life where listening and responding to God is part of my daily walk with Him.
Fact #8: My education and missions experience has been a bit varied through my 20s (DTS with YWAM, Certificate in Bible and Missions from Bethany Global University, and a Bachelors in Business from Regent University). This will, however, be my first longer trip, which I’m really excited about!
Fact #9: I’ve recently taken up rock climbing and really enjoy it! I’m still very much a novice but I’m slowly getting over my fear of heights.
Fact #10: I’m the youngest of three siblings (I’ve got two older sisters) and I’m really close with my family.
Fact #11: My friends would most likely describe me as reflective, cautious (I always tend to be the one saying lets think this through), hard working (they’d probably say sometimes a little too much, many a game night has been ended by me saying I have to be up early for work the next morning), introverted, and someone who loves to just hang out playing games or go on an adventure.
