October 21st, 2008…was my break through.  I’m at training camp with my 55 other racers and we were told that we would be participating in a “cross walk.” I figured this meant that we would be carrying a cross somewhere….WRONG! We were instructed to begin praying about the different areas of our lives that we need to surrender to God, and then proceed to write those areas down on a piece of firewood so that we could carry our surrenderance to the cross.

Being pretty confident in my walk with the Lord I picked up one piece of wood, well it wasn’t long before I had four logs. At this point I was pretty content with my logs, but no one had been over o pray with me so that I could embark on my journey. So I began to pray, “God is there anything that I’m missing?” and the Lord began to reveal to me that he wanted My Will. I proceeded to pick up my fifth and final piece of wood, and wrote in all caps MY WILL. Immediately after I was finished writing an just began to pray Chris (the worship leader) came to pray for me and really spoke life into me (but that is an entirely different story.) From that point on I began to carry MY WILL toward the cross and for what seemed like forever I held these five pieces of surrederance and prepared myself to let go. Up hills, down hills, and around trees finally the Cross. Laying MY WILL down to the Lord has been the biggest breakthrough in my walk with Christ besides receiving salvation. I am just in awe at what the Lord is speaking and doing in my life and the people around me at training camp. PRAISE THE LORD FOR HE ALONE IS WORTHY.
