God has definitely showed me that without my faith, He could not show me His provision. As some of you have read, these past few weeks have been a whirlwind. Money was not coming in and I was basically giving up on all of this. The enemy was getting into my head but God was not going to let him get to me that easy.
This past Sunday I unfortunately worked for the first time ever!!! I was not happy at all the whole time there because one it was sabbath and second I wanted to go to church! I got off early and was super super tired but God was pushing me to go church…I did and this is what happened. Right before I went into the building I prayed to God that He would give me just a small sign of hope. I sat down and waited patiently for service to start but while waiting a guy named Ian. We got to talk about life and told Him how it had been a while since I had been there but that I felt the Lord leading me to visit. He then asked if I had any prayer requests and so I hit him with the World Race and how it was getting harder and harder to trust that He would provide by the deadline. Ian then went on and told me about one of his personal experiences on how the Lord provided for Him by sending a man to pay for his full mission trip!!!! Freaking amazing! He then encouraged me and told me this one thing I will never forget, “If it is His will, it is His bill.” That is pure truth and my prayer answered in less than an hour!!!! Worship began with “King of my Heart!” I let it all out and literally lost my voice! It felt different as any last time and felt as if something had been literally lifted off of my shoulders!!! I had given it back to Him and He was about to show me how He worked!!
God opened doors immediately! Prayers were rolling in from everywhere and money started coming in! I began this week with only a few hundred in my fundraising account and I now have more than half of my first goal of $5000! What moved me the most was this Wednesday! After class I went with a friend, Christian Garcia (great man of God/photographer), to film a support video- it was freaking dope getting to see how everything worked! After this we went to college night and again asked God to continue to provide. At the end of the night my friend, Nathan Williams made sure I would not leave without getting prayed on by him and Emily Thomas. Nathan was my first friend who God introduced me to when I began to seek God (funny thing- Nathan played a vital role in King David’s life when David sinned against the Lord)! Nathan, my friend did so as well as he redirected my life back to God and away from my sinful nature!!! Both Em and Nathan took my hand and prayed a beautiful prayer over me but then God took over and surprised me! Them alongside my friends from The Real Movement got together and raised $900!!!! College aged student who have very little went above and beyond to raise a huge amount! More importantly they allowed God to show me a tangible example of generosity!!!!
You see, God shows up in ways we never imagine and His timing is perfect! I was exhausted that day but through this His energy pored over me! God saw my heart and saw my needs. Em reminded me that He saw me and that they all loved me alongside our Lord. A full 360% of His love was embracing my heart!!! I cried my eyes out because I continually prayed and asked and He showed up!!!
I have no doubt in my mind that He will continue to show up!!!
I have 24 hours to come up with $2300!
I have no clue where the money will come from but He sure does!
Please join me in this spiritual journey with him by praying for my team and myself! Some of us still need funding and we are not loosing hope that He will provide! Prayerfully consider any amount of prayer and/or financial support. Most importantly have faith that He is and will provide!
Even if the money does not show up I know He has something huge in store! He is still good, He is still my Heavenly Father, He is still my provider and He is still God!!!
