Write now we are in a calm before the storm. Our contact is excellent
and takes time every morning to further our walk with Christ in many
different ways. It is the general consensus of the team that we are
being blessed with abundance now so that we might endure through hard
times later. We started our outreach ministry yesterday and it went
pretty well. We were constantly reminded that our task at hand was not
what we did for these people or how we got it done but the
relationships that we established and the way we were able to show
God’s love. Some did it through washing houses or shoveling trash but
others did it through interaction and playing with the kids. This is
only the beginning and I know that things are going to get harder but
God has provided an abundance so that we might store up before the
famine.

This is what I saw after one of our hardest days. I felt like God was telling me his promises never changed. Promises to further my future and not to harm me. Things might get hard but God allows it in order to strengthen my character and make me the man I am supposed to be. Our ministry contact has been incredible. His name is Brenden and every morning he takes time out after our bible study to mentor us and pray with us. He has really helped us refocus as I said earlier.  All in all God is great and he lets us go through storms but only to make the rainbow more beautiful.
