Don't worry – this blog isn't intended to make you feel sorry for me or guilty so you will donate money for my World Race trip. And it's not about one of those get rich quick schemes either: If you give $100 God will repay you 10 fold or $1,000! So the more you give the richer you will become! If your faith is strong you'll write me a check for $1,000 right now and expect God to multiple that!

Run if anyone ever says that sort of stuff to you.

What I'm going to write is what I believe and practice myself and feel that you can spiritually benefit from it.

We will all stand before Jesus Christ at a point in time and give an account for what we have done with what has been given to us here on earth (Romans 14:12, 1 Corinthians 4:5, 2 Corinthians 5:10). That includes our resources, minds, time, money, words, and talents among other things. We will be rewarded according to what we did here on earth. Did we focus on our house, car, boat, job, clothes, and status? Or did we focus on sharing about Jesus, feeding the unfed, loving the unloved, and looking out for the interests/needs of others?

I used to be overly concerned about "making it" in this life. I wanted a Porsche, a big house, lots of money, and an early retirement. All those things were about me. God changed my perspective over the years and I thank Him very much for doing so because if I went down that path of selfishness in the end I would stand before Christ with nothing more than memories of worldly goods. This earth and all that is in it will be destroyed (2 Peter 3:10-13, Revelation 21:1), so why not set your minds on things that are above and not on the things of earth (Colossians 3:2)?

Jesus advised to store up our treasures in heaven where moth and rust don't destroy, and where thieves don't steal (Matthew 6:19-20). I believe we will be able to use these treasures to worship God to a greater extent than if we had none. All that we are given we'll be able to lay at the feet of Jesus (Revelation 4:10).

I hope that everyone reading this will consider what they are doing with their time, energy, money, and resources. I hope that you will use what has been given to you by God for the expansion of His kingdom and not just for yourself. Please don't be deceived by worldliness because there are no lasting benefits from it.

Moses chose to be mistreated with the people of God rather than enjoying the fleeting pleasures of sin. He considered the reproach of Christ greater wealth than the treasures of Egypt, for he was looking to the reward. As told in Hebrews 11:24-26.

I would ask that you pray about supporting ministry. It'd be nice if you supported me, but if you rather support another cause that's good too. I just want you to support something! I've been a supporter of Gospel for Asia (www.gfa.org) for years and would recommend them if you don't think this whole World Race is a good idea. There are many options out there!

I genuinely want you to be able to have more to talk about with Jesus than how many Starbuck's coffees you drank, how fast your car was, and how much stuff you accumulated in your house!

…whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver – 2 Corinthians 9:6-7

After praying and meditating on what you should do and have set in your heart your course of action, I would gladly welcome your financial gifts to help fund sending me out on the World Race. Many of you are not able to go to Uganda, Cambodia, or India to minister to orphans, widows, the rejected, and share the love of Christ with them, but I am able to. You can partner with me financially in this by clicking here. We are the body of Christ here on earth – Let's unite in expanding God's Kingdom!
