Falling into God seems to be a never ending process. It sometimes feels like everything is out of control, that what we want to do is always out of our hands and the moment we are on stable ground, we seem to be falling again. But this falling is good, It’s falling into the arms of an everlasting God that knows whats best for us and knows how to care for us.
The moment I give up on doing a ministry and focus on where God has placed me, then He changes things up and opens the door to do another dream of mine, doing layout or graphic design. I sometimes wonder how God works. I surrendered my desire to do my own thing and I work in the orphanage and the very next couple days I am going on a photo shoot with a street paper called Jeepney, named after the vehicles that
abound here in the Philippines. The magazine is sold by homeless people
who receive half the income in sales to support themselves, the very ministry I was hoping to work with when I got here.

For the Photo shoot we headed to a village on this Island called
Mindoro. We were covering a story on how a man named Federico Garcia of
the Mangyan people made cloths out of wood. We specifically went to have
him make us a dress. I was picturing in my mind that he would use several
pieces of wood and tie them all together, but no, it turned out to all
be one piece taken from a small log. He started with a small wood stick with notches on top and would beat the small
log until the very bark began to fall of the
wood. Then He would begin to stretch the wood and fashion it so a small
lady could fit in it. I just happened to wear it as a hat.

The craziest thing happened the day I got back. Bill Shaw,
Yeah I know we have the same name, The editor in chief wants me to lay
out the entire Magazine for Jeepney I am like,
NO WAY! Then He is like, do you want to do it or not, so I am like YES!
I’ll do It!

So now I am working on laying out an entire Magazine. I
pray that you would pray that I will be able to successfully finish
this in the next two weeks. They just happen to have no money to pay
someone to do it.  So please pray that I and hopefully another will be
able to finish this layout to help them bring God Glory and help those
who are selling this street paper for their lively hood. Thank You and
God Bless Yall!
