El Rancho Part Two
Working with children has never been my forte’. I have done a few stints in helping out sunday morning at church with 3-4 year olds. Usually they just crawl all over you and do nothing but play and climb all over you.
This time I had the privilege to work with 10-12 year olds. The Awesome
Rueben, the Joyous Tony from South Korea on Holiday, Braiden the Wild
One, Clayton the Inquisitive, Mitchel the curious about God and all
things, Olie the Soon to be Up and coming Rugby Champion. I loved my
Boys. They were a hand full right from the start, but well worth getting to know.
Not having any experience with kids, I was much heaps welcome to have Mac as a Co-Leader (Counselor), he has been through several camps already even though he is only around 18, he showed such great strength and power. Even though my kids were rowdy and rambunctious, they showed us and especially me respect, which I much appreciate, Thanks Boys!
New Zealands‘ government would send children, whom may have broken homes or been struggling with other circumstances in their lives, to El Rancho. So it was a great struggle for many to have to deal with these kids, but also a great blessing to be able to feed into their lives the Love of God and The Hope of Eternal Life through Jesus Christ.
During the week we learned several new songs with exciting motions: Oh Happy Day, was the most exciting with many hand motions and turns, along with Pharaoh, Pharaoh Let My People Go ,and Show Me The Way.
We had a guest evangelist Uncle Tony and Uncle Luke, Uncle Tony once worked along side Ray Comfort in sharing the Gospel. They Both used several magic tricks and shared the Gospel very clearly. The Kids favorite, as well as my own, was Brian the Puppet done by Uncle Tony, Very Hilarious!
Several activities were done: Archery, Rifles, Flying Fox (Zip Line over a pond) My Favorite Woo-Hoo!, Teamwork activity, horses.
The best experience I had was on Thursday night. As I and Mac set the kids down, I personally, with the Spirits Power, shared the Gospel with my Boys. Three of them Accepted Jesus into their hearts!
Two Already were saved. Its been very Exciting seeing what the Lord has been doing through me and my teammates.
Thank You so much for Supporting me and Seeing Children
Enter into the Kingdom One by One.
