Howdy all,
This past couple weeks have been a great spiritual battle. One of Comfort VS Gods Call.
There is a reason why God Calls us to take up our crosses and follow him.
Jesus Himself said the foxes have holes and the birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to rest His head.
Its been Overwhelming thinking about what I am giving up. the comforts of a hot meal, hot shower, showers in general, a seated toilet, a bed, A/C and heat, Laundry Machine, Stove, Dish Washer. I have been used to these things for nearly most of my life. Now I am going to mostly live without most of these comforts. So It has been a struggle to accept this fact of letting go.
Still Paul says:
Philippians 3:7-9 (King James Version)
7But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ.
8Yea
doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the
knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of
all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,
9And
be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the
law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness
which is of God by faith:

So then I count it a privilege to give up everything to give God Glory and to also be closer to the One Who cares for me more than words can describe.
Jesus Loves us so much that He left Heaven to Die on the Cross for our sins.
Romans 5:8
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
We are all sinners but God wants to have a relationship with us. When Jesus Died on the Cross he paid the price for our sins, sins are falling short of Gods ten Commandments. Since we have all stolen or have all lied we are guilty of sin.
But take Hope.
Jesus Loves us and has made a way for us to be free from the penalty of sin, which is eternal separation from God in hell.
What God Desires is for us to repent, repentance is turning from our ways and now Following His ways. This is done by starting a relationship with Jesus Christ. You can do this by following the verse below and just praying to God that your sorry for your sins and you want to start a relationship with Him. Its as simple as that.
Romans 10:9-10 (New International Version)
9That if you confess
with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God
raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.
