Hey Friends,

I am writing to you from Lira Uganda. This last week we have been in the district of Amolyatar. In a town with no electricity or running water. It’s been an experience to say the least :). Some nights my teammates have woken up covered in sweat because of the heat. But it’s also a place that’s becoming more and more like home. We have gotten to preach and lead worship and lead a little women’s conference where quite a number got healed and really blessed. Also go to the school lead over a hundred kids in worship and bible stories. Many kids gave their lives to the Lord. It’s been great.

I’ve been the finance person for our team for the last 3 or more months. Taking reciepts and helping stick to our monthly budget and seeing what we can afford. As I’ve been in this position it’s been amazing to be able to watch exactly where your money goes. God has really provided in amazing ways and in tight situations through you guys and I wanted to take this time to thank you so much for your prayers and your financial support. I wish I could thank each of you personally who have supported me but the finance lady at my church had a stroke and is still recovering so I don’t know who has given to me personally. But I am so thankful and appreciative for each one of you, I am almost at my goal because of all of your help!!

Here are some of the things we have been able to do through your generous help.

1. To rent a building with six rooms and a backyard with a new outhouse for our team of six for the whole month costs just $75. It’s amazing how far a small amount can go to help our team be in a place for a month where God can really use us.

2. Last month we were in Kenya where the unemployment rate is almost at 70% in the country, it’s a major problem. We were able to hire 4 helpers and a lady to help us with laundry for just a few hundred dollars so that they could provide for their families and have the dignity of work over a hand-out.

3. We were able to buy benches for a church we helped start in Eldoret as well as part of a sound system and rent for a couple months for the church building. The pastor is a man deeply in love with God and his community and it was such a blessing to be able to partner with him in his work.

4. The pastor who is caring for us and helping us in Uganda is an amazing man and his bycicle was recently stolen. This is a main means of transportation in Uganda and for only $70 we are planning on helping him with a new one.

This is just a small glimpse at what you are doing across the world, along with providing for our daily needs of food and shelter and transportation. Thank you all so much, I just wanted to let you know a bit more specifically what you are doing in this part of the world. God bless each of you. I pray for more of his peace and joy!
