Music inherently makes a moment more beautiful. A few weeks ago my best friends Rob and Tim and I and Tim’s brother Michael made this movie

We just had the funnest time ever. Creating music and laughter together. As I went to sleep that night there were a lot of thoughts floating through my mind. This is what I wrote down

“Music inherently makes a moment more beautiful. It brings life to the moment. That’s why people are listening to music all the time. Christian life should be overflowing with life and joy. If I can give this gift of music wherever I go it will make each moment more special and bring the joy and hope of God.”

I am going on the world race next year and I have been thinking about if I should bring a guitar, knowing how much trouble it always is at airports to protect it and how much less I can bring if I am bringing a guitar. So I decided to get an Ocarina. Here is an example of what they sound like

I just imagined walking by some of the beggar children and maybe not having anything to give them but just pulling this out and playing a beautiful song and dancing in the streets with them. Haha, maybe I am a little bit idealistic but I’m sure that something like that will happen :).

I guess this kind of goes along with my last note. I think a lot of times it’s just the simple beautiful things in life that are so expressive and can bring life with them as we pour our hearts into the music we make. I really want to see what is possible. I imagine some of the incredible landscapes and mountaintops we will see and I imagine just making that moment special by creating a beautiful melody drifting out into the beauty of the moment.
