“Can you feel it? Do you hear it?” Are the questions asked by your mom as she shakes you awake from a deep slumber. Waking up as a child in the middle of the night to have your mom tell you there is an earthquake. Time to move into action with the family plan to be safe as possible. As a child you don’t think or really fully realize the titanic plates shifting underneath you. How you can be ignorant to a massive moment in front of you.
There is a massive moment happening right now. What’s breathtaking is that it’s worldwide. It’s God’s story unfolding on the earth. That He is pouring out His Spirit on all people in the world right now…and has been for the past 2,000 years. A Spirit of who He is; Truth, Holiness, Power, Real, Raw, Unchanging, and the deepest love you could ever imagine. I have been wakened by the movement of His Spirit, in my life and those around me. “The creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed.” Romans 8:19
I have been wakened with something even more. Learning my gifts, strengths, weaknesses and who I am in Him as given me vision of true destiny. I got saved January 13, two years ago. In one short term of a year, He broke off all my addictions and sin that corrupted me for many years. Within the past year I have learned more about myself and my gifts. It’s amazing to know my gifts He established in me. I knew as I first signed up for the World Race that I was fulfilling my destiny and following His will for my life. Stepping out in faith gave me clarity of something better than my gifts… my calling.
My calling lies within my passion that He birthed in me. My heart for the persecuted nations, for the underground church. Our family in Christ, our brothers and sisters on the run for their lives. I don’t know when I will go or which country after the race, but I do know that I will be going to speak life and encourage them. To raise up awareness in both sides and let them know they are not alone. My heart right now and has always been is to pray earnestly for them and those who persecute them, they need Jesus too. There is no distance in the Spirit and amazing things happen when God’s people pray. I know my part in God’s story. I have only known step by step since I have gotten saved, but I know this is my ministry I will invest
my life into. Still walking step by step in faith but fully rested in the Father and fully engaged where He has me right now.
“Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him and He will do this: He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like noonday sun.” Psalm 37:5-6
It has been a privilege to be a part of His army, learning my position, my authority from Him, the assignment for my life, and being deployed all over the world. It’s hard to describe the fulfillment of getting the orders to my calling. Having your destiny awakened for His glory is richer than any material in this world. He is moving powerfully right now across the world and He is inviting you! He wants you to walk in the fullness of His presence, love and calling.
So let me ask you… “Can you feel it? Do you hear it?”
