It was about 2 months ago when I had my interview for the World Race.  If this actually happens I will be GONE!  I won’t see my family, my friends, and my comfortable community for almost an entire year!  Do I really want any part of that?  When I get back NOTHING will be the same.  Some friends and I went to “the Hobbit” several weeks later.  Story of my life so I thought!  Bilbo is all content in his simple and comfortable life then Gandalf comes and tells him to leave on this adventure with a crazy group of dwarfs (squad T) not knowing what will happen.  But he trusts Gandalf in his decision to embark on this journey.   Then he runs off with his backpack yelling " I'm going on an adventure!"   I remember seeing all the beautiful scenery and the diverse places they visit and the different people they encounter.  That is what I am going to do! Traveling the world meeting and working with others to accomplish a task at hand.  Every individual in the group had different skills and talents that were all needed at different times through out the movie.  I feel our squad is well diverse in our knowledge and abilities.  I am excited to see how God uses us to serve those we encounter on this “Unexpected Journey”!  Well that's what I got out of the movie!

Gandalf: You'll have a tale or two to tell when you come back.
Bilbo Baggins: You can promise that I will come back?
Gandalf: No. And if you do, you will not be the same.

Gandalf: The world is not in your book and maps. It's out there!
