We sat where the sand gets a bit tanner from the water rushing in and looked at each other in the bright moonlight. We shared our favorite stories, our favorite memories and our silliest jokes once again with each other. Then we sang "Amazing Grace" and said so long to our first World Race family — Team Freedom is no more.
God doesn't want us to be comfortable. He loves us just the way we are but loves us way too much to let us stay that way. So He challenges and pushes us more and more. I will always love and be forever grateful for Dan, Melanie, Leanna, Nikki and Renee. They will always be a part of my family.
And now, I'm grateful to have a new family for the next part of my journey. And I believe that this part of my journey will be even more beautiful because God has been working on me and reminding me why I came on this mission: I want to see God show off. In the coming months, I am certain that I will.
But before I can start sharing those stories, meet my new team, Somewhere Beautiful:
