Joshua 10~ Joshua and Gods people were surrounded by an alliance of Pagan Amorite kings and their armies. All seemed lost.
Upon Joshua receiving awareness of the Amorites intentions Joshua marched his small group of soliders toward the camps of this great Amorite army. They attacked swiftly surprising the pagan armies and gained great momentum toward a victory. But the sun was going down and in those days when it did, fighting ceased. The Amorites would have time to regroup and plan how to beat this small group of men. So what did Joshua do? He prayed a 3 word prayer that was audicious and radical and seemed impossible. Sun stand still! The earths rotation stopped. The sun shined and the day was extended. God answered Joshuas audicious prayer and Joshua and Gods chosen people slaughtered the pagan Amorite armies along with their kings.
Give me this faith oh God. That mustard seed faith.
In 3 weeks I owe 3500 dollars in order to leave. I know I’ll make it! Why? Because my God is bigger than any Army that rises against me. He’s bigger than any mountain in front of me. Stronger than any foe that confronts me. The God who parted the sea. The God who raised the dead! The God who caused the blind to see and the God who lives in me. The God who screams yes! When everything else tells you no. He is the same yesterday today and forever. So march with me as Joshua and Gods chosen people did. This is my battle cry. Lead by the simple audicious prayer.
Sun Stand Still!!
