Hey everyone! Writing to you guys from South Africa!! We are working with a ministry called Pop-Up. They are a life skills training organization that helps people find their passions and calling in life. They are actively changing lives by assisting people in the community in finding jobs and therefore playing a role in breaking the cycle of poverty. In addition to that amazing work, they are an organization that above all values sharing the love of Jesus and spreading the kingdom. As for our role in the ministry, several of us have been partnering alongside the students in the life skills class and supporting their journey. We also garden a lot and help the sweet cook, Grace, in the kitchen. Our afternoons consist mostly of street evangelism, which is INCREDIBLE. We have been able to build so many relationships throughout the community and share our testimonies as well as hear others. Jesus is moving in amazing ways on the streets on Soshanguve, SA.
We’re living in really tiny dorms on the campus of a bible college and we share our “house” with 2 german boys who are living here for a year. On Sunday mornings we go to a traditional african church, and in the evenings we go to Hillsong Church in Pretoria.
I’m currently loving this simple life. Thankful for the journey I’ve walked through so far and I’m so so excited for the last few months that I have left. Also, I still have about $1000 to fundraise by February 7th!! If you feel led then please visit my blog home page and donate any amount you can to help me stay on the race! Whether or not you are currently able to help financially, I would love if everyone could join me in prayer over this last push in fundraising. Also feel free to share my blog contact information with anyone else that might want to support me. But yeah that’s my life as of now. Sending love to everyone back home!!!
