It’s weird how sometimes an “ah ha” moment can come from the unlikeliest of sources. I’ve had coworkers replying to our Support Letter, and I received a profound response from an unexpected source. The response was very different from everything else I heard so far, but yet so simple. “What an opportunity God has given you!!” Throughout this process I have thought we were doing this great service for God, and now you are telling me God is doing something for me? What has God given us so far through this process – He has given both of us resignation letters, He will be moving us out of the apartment we love, He has us leaving the comfort we have grown accustomed to, and into the unknown that terrifies us. But He has also given us a direction in life, a path He wants us to take. I just now realized that (duh Dave!)! I am not sure why us, but God has made it very clear that His path for us is World Race. God wants us, He wants us. . . . How crazy is that!?!?
For the last 5 years I have had no idea where my life should go. But now God has jumped in and said” Dave don’t worry about that anymore, I got this covered!” God has spoken, so I listen (or do the best that I can) and prepare for World Race. Who I am to question God? Do I question Him at times, oh you better believe I do! But my questions all lead me back to, “Dave don’t worry about that anymore, I got this covered”.
God wants us. . . . how amazing is that?!?!
