We are officially spending the month in the nearly unknown country of Lesotho, a mountainous place entirely landlocked by South Africa.  We're happy to be working with a ministry called Africa for Jesus, and are soaking up both the friendly culture and that warm, warm summer sunshine!

In honor of  team Machete's recent obsession with the show, Survivor, here is a list of the top 17 similarities between these two seemingly different experiences.

17).  Lakes, streams, waterfalls, rivers, etc really do become the preferred places to bathe.

16).  These are the only two places where it's truly acceptable to wear the same thing again and again and again and….

15).  Every village visit is a food challenge.

14).  Off days are like rewards.

13).  You always wonder if the other tribe has a better camp.

12).  Rising with the sun and sleeping with the dusk becomes a matter of course.  Who cares if it's only 8:30???  It's bedtime!

11).  You get blind-sided during feedback.

10).  Comfort becomes something you dream of having again at home.

 9).  Rainy days become enemies.

 8).  Debriefs = tribal counsel.

7).  You have no idea what you look like and, frankly, you don't care.

6).  What you're eating becomes irrelevant.

5).  People on your team may be crazy, but you have to work together to reach the end goal.

4).  WR squad mentor is Survivor's Jeff.   They come in clean, peppy, and well fed, stir up a bunch of crap, then leave.

3).   The two times you'd be willing to pay $500 for a pizza.

 2).  Fully funded = immunity!

1).  The end experience is worth $1M  (insert cheesy groan here!).
