The journey is the thing” – Homer

Here’s a bit about me….

I enjoy the outdoors – camping, hiking, canoeing/kayaking

I love playing sports– volleyball, basketball and Frisbee (I never watch sports)

I like to bake and cook – cinnamon rolls, scones and Italian or Thai dishes are my specialties

I have a great family– Dad (George), Mom (Yolanda), two brothers (Darryl) married to my sister-in-law, (Teresa), who have a one-year old (July 31)(Lily) and my youngest, but tallest brother (Andrew)

I grew up in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada…went to school at Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan…recruited for that school for 3 years. Went overseas to Lhasa, Tibet, People’s Republic of China with ELIC for 3 years.

I am married to the most beautiful, smart, generous, fun woman in the world- Lindsay (we met while serving overseas with ELIC).

She’s from California, so that’s where I needed to be after returning from overseas. We’ve been living here for about two years.

I would consider myself sincere, detail-orientated, responsible, a people-pleaser, easy-going, caring, a welcoming personality

I want to work on being more generous, in-tune with what God’s will is for my life, communicate clearly and honestly with those I love

Verse which originally got me interested in Missions
“If I rise on the wings of the dawn and settle at the farthest limits of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast.” –Psalm 139:9-10
