tomorrow i head out to a remote village of northern thailand…somewhere between Mae Sot and Mae Sariang.
i don’t think i’ll have internet, actually, i’m positive i wont. we’re going to be working with a tribe of Karen people, which are known around the world because their women often wear rings around their necks which collapse the collar bone and give them the appearance of extremely long necks.
we also need your prayers as we’ll be heading to a country just north of where we are, which i probably wont be able to blog about, but i’d love to email you about as much as i can…even if it’s a mass email to those of you interested.
but all in all, we’re really excited about being with all the guys, and getting out into the jungles. this is going to be a different experience than any we’ve had yet on the race. we’ll be out in a remote tribe that hasn’t been shaped a ton by the rest of the world. however, it’s a people group who are very receptive to the gospel – they identify well to the idea of the Jews being a displaced and persecuted people, as well as the prophecies the Lord planted in the midst of their mythology and folklore that foretold of a book that would be brought by a foreigner that would hold within it the key to true life.
it should be fantastic…but i’ll be completely out of contact for a week. until post easter – you are loved.

We have a guy named Max with us. he’s a friend of our contact (who is incredible, by the way) and will be tagging along with us. pray we’re good witnesses to him and that we love him well.
Pray that we have fun, but also that we know where to draw the line. We need to work hard, not just play hard, so pray we stay focused on why we’re here in Thailand.
Finally, pray that we serve the Karen people well and bring the love of Christ to them. i don’t know what that will look like, but i know God will bless our servanthood and obedience as we seek to love them well…
