Hello everyone,

I hope each of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving back home with family and friends. My team was in Livingstone, Zambia at the time and we were very blessed with a Thanksgiving meal. An American hotel owner had his top ranked chef prepare our meal for us. Praise God from whom all good gifts flow.

I would like to take a moment to thank God, and my faithful donors who have raised nearly $15,000 of both Adventures In Missions (A.I.M.) and Personal support. As the year is coming to an end so is my window to raise this support. We are heading into month 6 on Monday, but in order to finish out all 11 Months, I need $3,390 donated to Adventures In Missions by December 31st. That is just about 4 weeks from now! In addition, I need $2,650 in Personal Support by December 31st, 2014 to wrap up the year. Unfortunately there was no free pass on the bills back home when I left on the race. My family and a few friends have been graciously helping me in this area, however, they cannot continue to bear the weight alone. Please consider joining with them as they make this mission possible. Without them, the A.I.M. support that is equally important could not fully accomplish its purpose. If A.I.M. support is the wheels, then Personal support is the tires, and you desperately need both to get anywhere.

As we approach Christmas let us be mindful of the example God set for us through the wise men. “When they saw the star, they rejoiced exceedingly with great joy. And going into the house they saw the child with Mary his mother, and they fell down and worshiped him. Then, opening their treasures, they offered him gifts, gold and frankincense and myrrh. And being warned in a dream not to return to Herod, they departed to their own country by another way. Now when they had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and said, “Rise, take the child and his mother, and flee to Egypt, and remain there until I tell you, for Herod is about to search for the child, to destroy him.” (?Matthew? ?2?:?10-13? ESV)

We see God’s provision through this scripture. Before Jesus was even born, God knew that Herod would try to kill Him, He knew that Joseph, Mary, and Jesus would have to flee to Egypt, and He knew that journey and stay would cost them money they did not have. So God sent the wise men bearing gifts. The wise men could not see the eternal purpose that God had planned for those gifts. They would perhaps very quickly provide for the journey into Egypt to protect the Ultimate Gift, The Son of God for the World. Satan’s attempt to still, kill, and destroy through Herod would fail once more.
