Darren and I are so excited to be going on the World Race in July 2014!
When I tell people what we have decided to do, I get the usual questions…What about your job? Your house? Your cars? Your dogs? Your furniture and other things?
Are you really just going to quit your job and sell your things to live out of a backpack in the midst of poverty for a year?
The answer is YES!

For the first time in my life, I have decided to abandon my comfort and my desires to answer the calling that God has placed on my heart. I am the type of person that likes to plan and control situations, so the decision to do this was not easy for me. It has required me to put all my trust in God’s plan for us, knowing that it is far greater than anything that I could try to plan or control myself. Since committing to the race, I have never been more relaxed and at peace (I am a worrier by nature). I know that God is going to use Darren and me in ways that I cannot even imagine.
