One reason I joined the World Race to was to see what G0d was up to in the World. I wanted to take the time and share some of the ways I have seen Him present in the various countries that I visit.

G0d is so good. This is the title of a popular Chr!sti@n song that we actually learned how to sing in Khmer. His goodness continued to be present through out our month in Cambodia in many ways

First of our work in Cambodia was on a Ranch in the middle of nowhere, with very little amenities most of us are accustomed to. The work was also very physical, involving moving cement fence posts and digging holes in the hot Cambodian sun. My team was recovering from a number of injuries/surgeries and many questioned why G0d gave us such an environment for ministry. However, G0d knew what He was doing and honestly because of being in the middle of nowhere we had little to do outside of ministry work and were actually given space to rest and recover. He also provided us with a host that was also suffering from illness and recognized the need for us and himself to rest.

You may have heard that we had a tractor accident during our month in Cambodia. It was on our way to chu4ch and we were actually practicing “G0d is so good” in Khmer when we suddenly veered off the side of the road and down the slight embankment. As I watched it unfold before me all I saw were open rice field and I recognized in terror that we were not going to stop as our driver had been thrown from the tractor. But G0d provided a bush for us to crash into and bring the tractor to a halt and resulting in only a few minor injuries. G0d is so good.

One other place I saw G0d was in life of a beautiful young Khmer girl, Somaly, who served us as our interpreter. She and her sister are the only Christians in her family and she has dealt with many struggles in her life, but through it G0d has formed her and guided her in His hope and He used her to speak into my life through some of the challenges I faced this month. She would often spend her afternoon break singing and playing guitar to G0d. I was blessed to sit with her one afternoon and listen and sing along with her. She explained that she loves to sing and play guitar because it helps her connect with G0d, especially when things are hard. She encouraged me and reminded me to look to G0d, for He is where my help comes from. God is so evident in her life and I know that He will continue to use her to work and bring His kingdom around her.

G0d is so good
G0d is so good
G0d is so good
He’s so good to me
