Holy cow — I cannot believe that AFRICA IS OVER!!!! I just read a sweet note from Anna on my team that was talking about how we were going into Africa and it was our 6th month! I couldn’t believe that that was 3 months ago and that now, it is time for us to go to Eastern Europe! We will be flying out of South Africa on September 3rd and flying into Turkey – and then off to Romania for the month.
I had a great time in Swaziland – it was tough, but a great time. This was the first time for me (in Africa) to connect with the local people on a deeper level of friendship. This month brought back a lot of great memories of my time there 5 years ago (which by the way, I cannot believe was 5 years ago) and I remembered why I fell in love with the Swazi people so long ago.
I would LOVE to show you all my pictures and videos from the month – but unfortunately my computer DIED and as of right now, I have no way of putting any of my pictures up! As soon as I am able to either get a new computer or time to sit at an Internet cafe’ and upload all of my pictures – I will try to show you, but it could possibly be the rest of the year without pictures! ☹ I am not sure even how much access I will be able to have to go to an Internet cafe’ – so my communication with you could be limited until the end of the year.
I would love your prayers, as I will be stepping in to the role as Team Leader for my team – through the rest of the Race. I am excited about this opportunity to grow and look forward to what God is going to do in me. I am sorry this is so short – I love you all and miss you! I am looking forward to updating you as often as I can…I appreciate your comments, emails and encouragement more than you will ever know.
