Almost all of the H-Squad was able to go to the beach yesterday!!We each paid about $7.00 to go to the beach for the whole day, with transportation to and from… it was a blast!!

We spoke with our bus driver the other day, asking him to take us to the best beach in the closest area – which we were told was about a 2 hour drive. About an hour after leaving the house, we arrived at the beach…

We were a little confused as to how this beach … made of mud was the best beach in town. So…we asked him if there was another one that we could go to. After negotiating a higher cost, he told us it would be another 30 minutes to the next beach.

2 hours later, we arrived here:

We decided that we would stay at this one!!! We had an absolute BLAST! Here are some more photos of the day we had.

After a long day of F-U-N… and several layers of sunscreen…. this is how I went to bed last night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Everyone else looks just like me!! Apparently the sun in the Dominican is a little hotter than the one in Texas! We had a really great time and certainly needed a day of relaxing on the beach. All of our teams have experienced so much these past three weeks, as we have encountered so much spiritual warfare and trying to communicate the love of Christ to the people in the DR.

Thank you for your continued prayers, we certainly need them…and can feel them in the darkest times. I love each of you and am thankful for all you have been in my life. I will write a blog later this week about all of the darkness we have encountered and how you can be in prayer for that. For now, I will leave you with the fun blog! Only 8 more days in the DR and then we are off to Haiti – we will bring our camera next week to take pictures of our Guachupita family.
